FTTH Media Converter Chassis complies with IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u and IEEE802.3x Standards. A wide range of media converters can be inserted into the chassis depending on the network cabling situation. The Chassis provides a central power supply to the converter cards.

Redundancy
The design of the power system for these rack chassis is based on an idea of providing maximum flexibility and redundancy. In this way, you can remove either of the two power supplies without turning off the system. Both power supplies are switched on and share the current load during operation. In case that one of them fails, the other one will instantaneously take 100% of the load without any loss. While one power supply is switched off or removed, the chassis will continue to work.

Protection System
All the converter cards keep working under the two shared power supply. Each card is isolated from each other under a certain protection mechanism, so the whole system can not be effected even if one of the power supply or any converter card is out of work.
